Cylindrical Grinder GER CU 600Multi-Function Cylindrical Grinders

  • The structure of the machine is based in a "T" shape bed. The longitudinal bedside supports the table on its longitudinal movement in "Z" axis. The cross bedside supports the Wheel head saddle on its transversal movement in "X" axis. At both sides of the table are located the two part clamping devices: Work head and Tailstock. These are made in perlitic iron, strongly ribbed for the highest rigidity. The guides on all the moving parts are scrapped and have a prismatic structure consisting of a "V and Flat" way.

  • The counter guides are coated with a "low friction" material (Turcite) that reduces to a minimum wear and "stick slip" that could appear at very low feeds. Therefore, the sliding of the saddles is absolutely uniform, resulting in optimal grinding results on the working part. The table is supported on the bed in all positions, even at the most extreme positions from the centre position of the table. This type of guide allows precise grinding surface finish on the work piece.

  • The table is provided with double dovetail guides allowing the positioning of the Work head and Tailstock in any desired position. It has an adjustable swivelling angle over the bed that allows more easy conical operations working preparations.
