Outstanding Features
• Massive one-piece floor type bed/base casting (no pedestals) for outstanding rigidity and vibration absorption.
• All castings are special high-strength gray cast iron produced by the Meehanite process. All ways are hardened and ground.
• 4-shear bed with two V and flat ways front and rear and dual flat ways in the center. A fifth lateral way is cast integral on the front face of the base for carriage support under heavy cutting.
• Forged alloy steel spindle with opposed taper roller bearings at front and rear. A2-11 nose with 6” bore is standard (options to 25” bore).
• Full automatic lubrication throughout.
• Variable spindle speeds in four auto shift torque ranges.
• Massive power tailstock features 9 ¼” diameter quill with built-in rotary (live) center. Movement of tailstock on bedways and quill travel controlled by hydraulics.
• 4-Way Power Rapid Traverse plus geared feed and rapid traverse to top slide.
• Carriage-mounted Pendant Control Station for all functions, for ease of operation.
