Made
of highest grade Meehanite Casting in accordance with ASTM
specifications. Lagun Mills are built oversized for increased
durability and ruggedness. They outweigh major competitors
by nearly 1,000 lbs.
Interchangeability of column knee, saddle: Lagun is the only
factory worldwide that can offer full interchangeability of
all castings, (the only part different from machine to machine
is the gib

Table - Strength and Capacity
Larger
than most major competitors. 10"x44", 10" x50",
and 11"x58". Better support for larger parts.
Travels- Extra
Long Y axis travel eliminates the need to reposition many
workpieces. 16" FT-FTV1 & 2, 18" Deluxe-3L,
15" FTV-4L & 510. Also, digital readout scale can
be mounted on the back side of the table while still allowing
15" of travel. The scale is less susceptible to damage
on the rear of the table.

Saddles
Extra
wide to provide excellent support. All FTV-2's (10"x50"
table) have extra wide 23" saddles to maintain rigidity
on x axis travel. No teeter-totter with the Lagun large table
and special way design.

Lead screws
Rolled
and ground to provide better accuracy and with a high nickel
content to improve durability. Adjustable anti backlash nuts
allow for compensation as the machine ages. |

Unique
Table Locks
Handles
are spring loaded to allow repositioning once locked. This advanced
design clamps the table to the saddle (does not push on gib).
This will not distort the saddle when locked.

5.
Outboard Column Support (Deluxe-3L)
Rigidity
of bed type mill and heavy table loads with Lagun's unique
outboard column support (knee can be manually clamped with
(2) column locks and (1) on the outboard column support) over
the full 16" vertical knee travel (Deluxe-3L only). Both
knee and column can be locked.

One Shot Lubrication Pump
One
shot lubrication to the ways and screws to ensure equal oiling
to all critical areas

Flood Coolant System Built-In (Standard on all models)
Allows
for greater tool life and higher speeds for improved finishes.

Extra-Wide
Box Ways and Dovetail Guides
All
Lagun Mills are standard with a unique combination dovetail/square
Y-Axis way for stability and accuracy. This offers a wider
area for support and the benefit of a dovetail for maximum
accuracy. Table will not drop off at the end of travel. This
design is exclusive to the Lagun machines.
